Google Nexus 7

One week after Microsoft launched its rival to the iPad,  internet giant Google has unveiled its very own tablet in the form of the Nexus 7.

Available to order now from Google Play, with first deliveries set to take place in July, the Nexus 7 will retail at just £128 ($199), significantly undercutting the iPad’s starting price of £329.

With a seven inch screen, the Nexus 7 is set to become one of the smallest tablets on the market, and will run on the newest version of the Android operating system, Jelly Bean.

While Google’s first tablet looks good and sounds great, the key to it breaking Apple’s domination of the tablet market will be that £200 saving, coupled with its use of the increasingly popular Android platform.

We anticipate big things for the Nexus 7, which seems just the beginning of Google’s attempts to muscle in on Apple’s success in the tablet and smartphone markets.Google Nexus 7Google Nexus 7Google Nexus 7Google Nexus 7Google Nexus 7Google Nexus 7
